If your are visiting my with our family but don't know what to do to have some fun, I recommend you to visit the Zoom Miami, they gonna love it !
In this blog post I will show you a little bit about this wonderful place so you can have a better idea what you you gonna find in the zoo and also how much money you need to embrace this adventure with your family.

The Zoom Miami is different
When I say different, I mean it's not the traditional zoo we are used to see with all those caged animals. This one is much better.
The animals have plenty of space to live in their habitat and that's awesome.
Some info about the place
Zoo Miami has more than 3,000 animals that represents 500 different species in a huge area in south Miami (it's an area with about 750 acres).
Some species are at risk and are classified as endangered (poor animals).
There are also a lot of trees, palms and other plants that makes this place a paradise, about a thousands of them to me more precise.
Wildlife conservation is one of the initiatives the Zoom Miami is involved with, and just by visiting this place, you're contributing for such project.

My first impression getting to the zoo
The first thing that got me impressed was the parking lot, it's very big and can even loose your car there if you don't make sure where you parked.
Did I mention that you can park for FREE? Yeah it is, I liked that part !
I recommend to take a picture of the spot you parked the car so when you came back you can easily find it.
The important warning sign
Something else I liked was the sign at the entrance. People can go to the jail and get a fine of $10.000 if inflict some pain to the animals. Well done !

Safari Cycles
I recommend you to rent the safari cycles, they are very comfortable and you can just ride them instead of walking under the sun.

After sometime walking under the sun you can feel a little bit tired, so it's better so save some energy and rent one of these nice cycles.
Anyway, if you want to walk to stretch your legs, be my guest. I will be here on my cycle just taking picture, right Claudemir and Amanda? 🙂

Just kidding, I also walked sometimes.
You can also use the train, so no excuses...
The animals are not caged
Take a look at the picture, left side you see Antelopes and right site a camel.

Conclusion
We liked the place, the tour, the people and everything else.
I think it's just missing some good place to eat something, but perhaps they don't want to let us eat burger that are made from animals, right? 🙂
Anyway, it was a good tour, we had some fun and we recommend you to visit this Zoo with the family or friends. And bring some snack and water.
